The 68th Session of the Nordic Council will be held in Copenhagen from 1 to 3 November 2016. The annual Session is attended by politicians, prime ministers, opposition leaders, and government ministers from across the Nordic Region and is the biggest Nordic political forum.
Topics to be addressed when this year’s Nordic Council Session opens on 1 November include the Nordic Region's role in UN global sustainable development goals, as well as integration and security and defence issues. The Session will be attended by a number of ministers, including the Nordic prime ministers and various foreign ministers, and the prime ministers from the Baltic states.
